I initially sought yoga in my late teens/early 20s as a way to continue expression through movement, after studying ballet throughout much of childhood. I began consistently attending yoga classes while working through my master's program in social work.
As I increasingly noticed the physical and mental health benefits of a regular yoga practice, I became determined to help others find their "way home" by connecting mind, body, and spirit.
This led to pursuing my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Chi-Town Shakti Yoga + Meditation, which I completed in 2020. Since then, I've continued my studies with a 1,000 hour IAYT accredited yoga therapy program, which is currently in progress.
I'm a partner, adoptive parent, animal lover, and psychotherapist specializing in helping people impacted by trauma and addictions. I aim to be neurodivergent affirming and trauma informed when I teach, and always welcome feedback as to how I can improve in these areas.
